How do you trap a rat?
To trap a rat, place a rat trap in a low-light area where rodent activity or droppings have been spotted. Place multiple traps along walls or furniture and apply a small amount of bait to each trap. Set the traps and check them daily to remove any caught rodents.
What is the best bait for rat traps?
Spreads such as peanut butter, hazelnut or cheese spread often make the best baits for rat traps although small amounts of bacon, egg or dried fruit can also be enticing to rodents.
How do you set a rat trap?
To set a traditional wooden snapback rat trap, first place the bait on the trigger paddle. Then, pull back the kill bar and secure it with the locking arm before placing the trap against the wall.
